Hi Amy, I am an Aussie and recently decided to reinvent myself and learn to develop in Adobe. I found your You tube video on how to . . . followed your instructions with ease and went looking for more info on who you are. . and shazam, here you are. I am working for a college in Sydney, where I went from a training position to study director and 2 years ago began to write the course material because what we had was so bloody boring. I have a real desire to create with visuals, color, interactivity and practical interaction. Only problem is, I want to eat the whole pie in the shortest possible time and start immediately. Your career and experience is inspiring. Any chance you could put all that knowledge and skill on a disc and send it over. Ha . . . If only it was that easy!

Hi Jm. Tim (Sorel) is exactly right. It is rare to be able to work in a newsroom and go up for tenure at the same time. I don't know of anyone, but I'm sure they are out there somewhere. They are a unicorn. Although some tenure-track professors (on creative tracks) have continued writing, producing and/or shooting creative (massive) projects as part of their tenure goals, but on top of that, they teach and do service. I was referring mostly to my experience on a research tenure track. I should have been more clear in my post. But a good discussion nonetheless.

To JM. One could try to be a journalist and a tenure track professor. It would last six years though as this is the time the university tosses you for not completing all of the facets of tenure.- Sorel
